"Inspirations"

When we started
doing archival preservation workshops and were in the early days
of putting our print catalogue together, many customers who love
old, rustic things that they can actually use in their homes complained
that they either didn’t have any or couldn’t find them! That’s when
"Inspirations" was born!
When we come
across something that has that "instant heirloom" feel,
something that we would feel proud display amongst our "family
jewels", we offer it to our customers. We actually created
our first Inspiration from scratch : The Renaissance Box, a handmade
rustic box for organizing everything from homework supplies to gardening
tools. Still locally crafted from re-claimed wood, it is one of
our favorites! Now we have over 50 Inspirations that range from
some of the organizing items featured on this site to "Inspirations
for the Soul," unique photo frames, "Inspirations for
Writing," and even an incredible line of "modern heirloom"
jewellery made locally in Vancouver that looks like something great-grandma
may have worn -- with a bit of an edge.
And since the
motto of Family Jewels is "its about time," our Inspirations are
all about spending a quality moment writing, relaxing or
enjoying a keepsake and saving a moment by being organized
with style. We only offer what we love ... and whether they are
for you or a friend, we know you will love our inspirations too
because special treasures -- keepsakes old or new -- touch every
heart.
